About Us
Back in October 2009 the idea was conceived after Dave (a.k.a Old man-but only actually 29) realised he wanted to do something with his life he could look back on that a) Makes him feel useful to society but also b) something to tell the kids one day. Mostly he wanted to do this for charity instead of watching others from the comfort of his arm chair like so many of us do!
Dave then plucked up the courage to tell his mates Marc and John and told them about his plans. Of course he expected them to laugh and say “You can’t do that” in only a true friends style, but surprisingly they didn’t. He then proceeded to ask them would they join him as their experience, expertise and guidance would be invaluable to him. They would help him train as he is the novice of the group (last time he rode a bike was at school) and all three are fully aware this won’t be a walk in the park.
The two man team consisting of Dave, John, and Marc (as an advisor for his background expertise) are great friends which has spanned nearly some 20 years. John and Marc are truly experienced and have been “Off Road” bikers since they can remember and have taken on some of the toughest trails in the UK. Marc is also an excellent ex-bike mechanic, which of course is always handy on long trips such as this and John is a fully qualified first aider-also handy (although we hope neither will be needed!).
